I visit this place often to drop off donations, and I usually get out of my car to grab a cart and start unloading my items. This time, there was a car in front of me, so I got out to get a bin for my donations. However, an employee gave me a stern look and told me to get back in my car and wait my turn.

I always try to help, and I only got out quickly this time because the employee was quite elderly. Maybe I was in the wrong, or perhaps he was just having a bad day, but the situation left a bad taste in my mouth. I donate high-quality children's items, and if I can't find a shelter to take them, I bring them to Value Village. But after this encounter, I closed my trunk, got back in my car as instructed, and ended up taking my donations to a thrift store down the road instead.

I understand that everyone has off days, but it's not fair to take it out on someone who's just trying to help, especially because of their age. The tone of his voice was upsetting, and even my 8-year-old son noticed, saying, "Wow, that wasn't kind, Mom. He was really rude to you." Children observe and learn from the behavior of others. If you're that unhappy, maybe ask a coworker to handle the next car instead. I won't be going back there again.

They sell fake pokemon cards here mixed in with originals , it's "final sale" but I wasn't interested in buying fakes and the terms of final sale don't apply as legal action can be taken on my end involving fraud

Prices have gotten out of hand. I saw a Pyrex measuring cup that looked old and dirty selling for more than what winners in the same strip was selling for brand new. Cheaper at walmart or Canadian tire too. Come on, who is pricing these items!

Also, the clothes are all overpriced. Last time I bought a pair of shorts, they must have been old and brittle fabric they ripped the first time I wore them and a pair of leggings I ended up giving away since there's no changerooms and once I got home found they didn't fit. Both these items second hand at the tune of about $15 each!

It's a good place to kill some time and browse, or to get rid of your own junk- but probably won't be buying much from here anymore. Not much value in this village. ?

used to go here alot. but their pricing is out of hand now. used shoes for my toddler priced at $16. shoes were very old, and not great shape. brand new chinese shoes at walmart were $12. they need to price items better. especially since everything is donated for free. 1/5.

5/5!! A week ago, I found what I've been looking for, for a long time. A PS3 (Play Station 3), for 23 bucks! +Tax! Super cheap!

The products range from Toys, Electronics like TVs, blenders, etc. Even clothes, books, purses, everything! (Not food).

VERY good place.

The store is clean and the staff are nice. But hopefully someone can explain why the prices are astronomically high when every single piece of their merchandise is given to them for free?!? At this point Winners and Homesense is cheaper than shopping at value village locations. The Value Village corporation needs to be held accountable for scamming and ripping their customers off with their insane prices for used items.
