So disappointed with the unprofessional letter we received this week. After purchasing a gorgeous decorated Christmas tree three years ago we were thrilled with it and thankful for their installation and take down service. I thought it odd how much more these services increased each year. But this letter! I was appalled! To put up the tree would be a minimum of $1800 and to take down $1200!!!! We were thinking of getting decorated trees for our grown children. Well, not anymore. I don't plan on stepping one foot in the store EVER AGAIN! So keep that in mind when you browse through their beautiful merchandise. I chose to shop at reputable places.

I visited The Accessory place for the first time last week because I’m new to the Houston area and friends wanted to show me their favorite store! While one friend was deciding on a purchase, I noticed a lovely scarf in my daughter’s signature color with horses on it (we have 6 horses between us). Not wanting to remove it from the display, I asked a clerk if I there was one I could look at. Her comment was “It’s $360!” and she turned away. Thinking she may have misunderstood me I repeated the question. She handed me a boxed scarf and repeated “It’s $360”. I said “thank you, but this isn’t the same scarf. May I see that one?” Clerk “Yes it is!” Me “this scarf in the box has horses with riders. The one I’d like to see has horses without riders.” The clerk looked me up and down and said one more time, as she reached for the scarf on display “It’s $360!” and at that point I told her to skip it, I’d changed my mind.

I spent the next 30 minutes standing around waiting for my friends and pondering what provoked such ill treatment! I honestly couldn’t figure it out; my daughter thinks it’s because I didn’t carry a designer purse that day.

I have giggled so many times since then when I’ve made purchases over $360. What the heck? I guess it’s not my shopping place!

This store has some pretty nice pieces available. It also has a small boutique with little gifts like clothing and perfumes. I'm a big fan of the furniture. It's pretty pricey, so be prepared to spend big bucks on little accents. If you want to add some classy accessories to your surroundings, this place is a good choice. Just mind the price tags if you're concerned about your budget.

I just found out this store has been in business for 40 years. And I never knew it. This was the most beautiful, wonderful shopping experience I've had. I recommend this place to everyone!!

I am so disappointed with the service I received here. I came into the store with a request to create a custom floral arrangement for a special vase I brought in. I worked with Emily on this. After discussing the design of the arrangement, I was quoted a price range of $400-500 which I agreed to. I left in hopes that Emily started working on this. Instead I received a phone call from her letting me know that the vase is too large so the cost will be $1,000. I was frustrated that this wasn’t shared with me when I was in the store and we were looking at the vase and discussing the design together. Still, I agreed to the new price as I was eager to get this done for a special occasion. Unfortunately I received yet another phone call from Emily the next day letting me know that the vase is too tall and we need to add something to the bottom. She suggested marbles and asked me to purchase them and bring them in. I was so incredibly frustrated that I’m paying $1,000 and I’m being asked to go buy marbles and bring them in. I went here with the assumption that as the floral expert, they would figure all this out and get it ready for me so all I would have to do is come pick up a finished product. instead I wasted my time on all this back and forth. I asked Emily to just hold off and that I would stop by so we could discuss this in person and get everything sorted. When I came into the store, Emily rudely handed me the empty vase without a word and didn’t even bother to apologize or discuss anything about how to make it work. Terrible experience and complete waste of time.
