Most bizarre nail appointment I've ever had!

Just moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon, after reading all the great reviews I booked an appointment for 10 am on a Monday with Debbie. I arrived early and only one technician was there, she greeted me and told me to take a seat with her after I informed her about my booking.

After starting on my nails I proceeded to learn this technician was not in fact Debbie. The vibes were incredibly weird as this technician let me know she was new and pleaded to let me continue having her do my nails and not say I had booked with someone else. Another technician (who I'm assuming was actually Debbie) soon arrived, and not wanting to get in the middle of whatever workplace drama was unfolding I sat there silently and continued with the manicure that had started.

It then proceeded to become one of the worst manicures I've ever had. The skin around my nails got cut by the drill a few times, but even after stopping her and pointing out the bleeding, she was still quite rough with the filing and cuticle removal. The colour polish was not applied evenly, the bottoms edges aren't smooth, and I later noticed gaps between the sides of my nails and where the polish stopped. However, the clear polish wound up all over my skin around the nail.

Overall, not a good job and my fingers hurt quite badly for hours after the appointment. Now wishing I had said something and got the technician I actually booked.

Debbie is the best! She is so kind and talented. She is so precise and dedicated. She truly cares for everyone who sits in her chair. The salon is so welcoming and an amazing calm environment for self care! Thank you for another amazing set

I had the best first experience with this salon. The place is clean and neat. Debbie who did my nails is such a professional who pays attention to details and actually listen to what the client wants. Overall i’m really happy with the nails and how sweet and professional Debbie was?

Honestly I don’t even know why I tipped. Did horrible job on my nails and tried to blame me that it’s cause my nails are short. She didn’t even double check the nails - French tips are completely uneven on every single nail, even the base coat was not applied evenly. I genuinely have no idea why I tipped to this store. Then the lady tried to say that it’s too “hard” to do French tip on short nails… my nails aren’t even short.. she just kept trying to blame my own nails but if you can’t do French tip you should’ve said that from the start!!! Not one of the nails match , every single nail on both hands is thick or thinner than the other. ALSO, she put me on a chair/table that had just been done with another client with the chair and the table still completely dirty of nail particles - didn’t even sit me to a clean spot

Debbie did a beautiful job with my nails. She is professional, attentive, and knew exactly what I wanted. The salon is clean and welcoming, making for a very relaxing and pleasant experience.

Debbie has a great attention to detail which is much needed when shaping or applying color. She fixed my nails, shaped them exactly how i wanted them to be and i walked out super happy with the results 🙂

I really wanted to like this place considering I always try to focus on the overall experience vs. a single poor interaction. But I’d by lying if I said that from the moment I stepped foot in this salon it wasn’t a series of poor elements.

First, this salon is extremely dirty. Not only are the floors and surfaces not cleaned regularly (if at all) they don’t even use single use tools. The man that did my nails never disinfected the tools he used and so I did that myself with the acetone I had to soak my tips in for removal. I watched him used old and clearly used nail boards and buffers, nail clippers and nail filing attachments each never disinfected before use.

I ended up removing all of my previous extensions myself only to be charged for a removal (strike one). I then expressed
I wanted dip powder since I like how thin and natural my nails look after application. I was told to take a chance on the guy and let him apply gel (a mistake that gets me every time since I know better). Gel is always thick unless a very experienced nail tech knows how to deal it which clearly this man wasn’t. Not only did they not have the colour I was looking for but I spent over an hour getting the worse nail job of my life. Horribly uneven and bumpy and no matter how I directed the tech he always managed to make it look worse -
I eventually just gave up.

Thankfully I didn’t follow through with the waxing i asked for because the lady that did the wax was so extremely slow and tried

Leg wax. I would have been there for hours! Also the wax was clearly used and not single use a practice that would have a salon shut down for sure. She didn’t know what she was doing from the moment I got on the table. I asked her to not bother and left as fast as I could.

The person at the front tried to make things right by offering a free half leg wax but how do you explain that your salon is filthy and that you are uncomfortable just being there? So as to not be rude I just paid 85.00 for my horrible nails and booked it.

I would strongly advise not coming here. The techs are extremely slow and not experienced in my honest opinion. And if you’re someone who expects the standard in hygiene than this salon isn’t for you.
