I love Byredo and I have a pretty big collection of their fragrances. Try not to go on a weekend because there is always SO MANY randos in there just wasting time and asking to smell fragrances but not buy anything. I have to wait forever until a sales associate is free to help me due to these annoying lingering people they have to “help”. Besides the obvious they can’t control, everyone working at this location is helpful and has great customer service. Always keep me coming back!

My visit was a year ago during spring of 2023 but I had to come back and review because this is probably the best interaction I’ve ever had with a perfume sales person.

Small stores with few customers unnerve me. I prefer being able to browse on my own without engaging with anyone. Also, I feel odd when going to places like high end department stores, look-wise I deviate from the usual clientele. A younger tall artsy woman stepped up to help me. Her accepting demeanor instantly eased my worry.

This was the first time I had opportunity to see and smell Byredo fragrances. The selection was intimidating. Not knowing where to start, I inquired about the popular ones. She was detailed in her answer, but she also made some suggestions based on my response to the notes and my vibe. She gifted me a couple vials to try on my skin later, so I could be confidently informed in buying a full bottle. The lesser known ones she suggested ended up being my favorites. They were very different from the best selling ones. I would have never tried them otherwise.

She could see I was just starting to figure out what I like in perfume and wasn’t pushy about me making up my mind. She was patient and very sweet. Overall I was impressed by her professionalism and friendliness without verging on pressure tactics to make a sale. Thank you!

I came here during my lunch yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. There were only two other customers there and I was able to sample their perfumes at my own pace. Nicole was so kind and answered all of my questions. I prefer woodsy perfumes and she helped me picked one I loved! I purchased a bottle of Bal D'Afrique, and a Blanche hand cream. She even added samples of Bibliotheque and Blanche since she knew those were my two other faves. I loved the scent so much that I went back today to purchase the Bal D'Afrique perfume oil and hand cream I'm in love with Bibliotheque as well! Will be coming back for more!

My whole experience with this store and their staff was extremely disappointing. I walked in with a couple girlfriends a couple weeks ago excited to sample a few perfumes. After sampling, we were still unsure of whether to make a purchase since the perfume we liked was $400. We asked the sales associate if we could buy a smaller bottle because we were not sure if we would use the entire $400 bottle. The sales associate definitively said there was no smaller bottle we could use, and that we had to buy the $400 bottle if we liked the perfume. After 15+ minutes of being there, we decided to make the purchase because we thought the brand had a great reputation. The sales associate did not mention anything about the company's refund policy. After coming home, we couldn't even properly smell the perfume anymore. We tried to return the perfume the very next day, with the same sales associate, and at this time she informed us about the refund policy and the fact that there were actually testers available to try the perfume - two things she deliberately neglected to tell us the day before. So now we're stuck with a very expensive perfume that does not live up to the expectation I had.

There are reasons I shop at stores like Byredo - quality and service. I am happy to pay a premium when I know the shopping experience and product is quality. However, I will not be coming back here given the fact that Byredo offers neither quality products nor quality service.

Highly recommend, I've bought their bibliotheque bottle it's my favorite! I wear it daily and have had it for four months now. Still half way through the bottle

I was extremely disappointed by my experience at Byredo. Their store associate was not helpful, had no empathy, and was focused on making a sale even if it required her to be deceiving. Furthermore, getting in contact with this brand after a purchase is made is nearly impossible, so make sure you have zero questions about your purchase and that you are 110% sure of your purchase as they have no return policy to get your full payment back.
Something that I learned AFTER making a purchase is that you can request a sample from the associate who will likely not offer it to you otherwise. I would highly recommend asking for samples before dishing out hundreds of dollars to then be disappointed by their products.

Unacceptable service, horrible return policy and the store/brand is unwilling to help regardless of them being at fault. I would not recommend this store or brand for any purchases.

I'm dumbfounded by a brand like Byredo that expects premium prices but gives you service that is non existent. For someone who shops at other luxury stores, this brand/store doesn't even come close to others. You're better of buying fragrances and products at Le Labo or Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Both of these brands put Byredo to shame. I've never had to use customer service at those brands but the interactions that I've had at store that sell those brands is night and day. Just even comparing the reviews for La Labo SF store can showcase the major differences between the two brands and their service received. I'm not one to write a negative review (every review I've written on google to date has been only a positive one), but this experience has shocked me by how poorly a "luxury" brand can treat their customers.

Stopped in with the intention of purchasing a new scent. Walked out of what seemed like a cold mausoleum. Both employees greeted no one. Didn't offer any assistance. Their faces showed no expression and seemed indifferent to anything. It was an uncomfortable environment. There was no way I was giving any sales to this location. Even when we said thank you as we departed, just blank, stoic faces. What a miserable place.
