My experience started back in December of 2023 when we purchased a new turbo from BD Diesel and Performance. The turbo that was sent out failed with in 24hrs after installation. The shop, because of the holidays, was not able to start working warranty repair until the end of February 2024. The first turbo was removed and sent back to BD on warranty. BD did not send their first replacement until the end of April beginning of May. Karl over at BD admitted they received the turbo at the beginning of April, and it failed its inspection. Then stated it was sitting on their shelf for a month, and no one bothered sending out the replacement. At that point, BD sent a replacement. Upon receiving the replacement, the turbo would not bolt up. Upon inspection of the turbo, it was discovered that whoever built this turbo cross drilled the exhaust flang so it would not mount to the vehicle. We notified BD, and they sent out another. This turbo got lost by FedEx. We called BD and informed them that FedEx lost our turbo. BD sent another. This turbo was then installed, and the vehicle returned to the customer. Just for the customer to bring the vehicle back 2 days after. The new turbo from BD has failed again. After three failed turbos, the shop and I are not satisfied with this company or their product. So we decided to ask for a refund on the product so we can take our business elsewhere. Karl, being the sole representative that we deal with, states he has been in contact with Shane, the manager, over all of this. Karl claims that every time we call him, he will have a response from Shane on what they are going to do. We talked to Karl 3 times a week, give or take, and he stated he would have all this sorted out the next day. We are now over a month, 45 days and counting, waiting on BD to do the right thing by us, but they have failed to do so. BD has also caused the shop to lose substantial amounts of money on labor because of the 3 about to be 4 repair jobs due to their failed products. BD has not taken responsibility for the repair cost or offered any kind of assistance with it. This has been a 7-month ordeal being without my truck since then.

I highly recommend you go somewhere else for quality parts. Heed my warning ⚠️ or be subjected to the same situation myself and others are in. If you look at the BBB, they have an F rating and don't respond to complaints submitted.

Do not order any parts from BD diesels I recently ordered injectors for my 2006 Dodge ram and I returned the core until this day. They have not paid me back. Elite race fab keeps promising me that they will be reimbursing me that they are waiting for payment from BD diesels And it’s endless lies. They keep promising me that my Cory return will be in my account by the following week and when the week gets here it’s still not in my account. They have it in their ad how easy it is to return course and get paid, but I still haven’t got paid. It’s I’m already going on three months. It’s ridiculous. I urge everybody not to order from BD, diesels and elite fab.

Placed order for transmission and tap shift combo on 9/19/24 website said ship on the 9/24/24. Waited couple weeks said be ready end of week now it is 10/10/24 they told me because it is a 2 wheel Cummins that it is uncommon which is a lie. Now that I exposed that lie now it is the tap shift that they do not keep in stock. Tried to talk to manager no one exists. I want to cancel order but can't unless pay 10% restocking fee. They say it should ship tomorrow but we will see.

Terrible experience, spent every last penny I had to buy a replacement 10r80 transmission from BD Diesel in July 2024, about 500 miles in the transmission started leaking. Upon reaching out to Phillip in tech support they had me jump through some hoops, replace a few parts but still have a leak. Eventually i stopped receiving responses through email and I still have a bad product.

DO NOT PURCHASE BD PARTS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY.

I had a BD FLOW MAX fuel pump installed by BD back when they still ran their shop. 1 Year later it failed and they warrantied it the first time. A few months ago I started my truck and noticed a burning smell and noticed the pump that THEY INSTALLED was smoking and on fire. I took it out and sent it back for RMA. I have been going back and forth with them for the last while and now today have been told they will not warranty the pump because I did not register it online.
I DID NOT INSTALL THE PUMP, and I DID NOT receive paperwork that stated I was supposed to register it online. I know the paperwork as I previously had a FASS fuel system in my old truck.
In the box it came with paperwork and serial numbers to register online.
I have spent thousands at BD thinking they would be the right company to do business with as they are a local Canadian owned company but was I ever wrong. Consider this if you are looking for any of their products in the future of how they treat their customers of many years that spend thousands on their products.

EDIT TO RESPONSE: Funny because you guys installed it. The pump was then warrantied in 2020. The first one lasted a year then this one lasted just over 4.

Of course the wiring would be stripped away the pump caught on fire, how is that even a question?

I am glad I caught it when it was just at the pump because if anything further happened I now know BD would not accept that there was any fault on their end from making a product that if it fails they put the blame on someone who had their product installed by their own shop.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I got a transmission from them. We installed it and it was bad out of the box. It would not program. Tried multiple times to get with them about sending it back and can not get any answers. Do not buy from them

I would not recommend this company. They do not stand behind their product. CHECK THEIR BBB RATING! I ordered a valve body that took a month and a half to arrive, their cores get epoxied as a permanent fix and is standard practice with the BD Valve body. This epoxy they used blew out and caused my input shaft to snap ruining a bunch of other transmission components that would have cost $7,000 to rebuild, but BD Diesel would not pay that invoice. I was told if the valve body was tested and they found it to be their fault, they would send me a new transmission because they could for half of the cost of the rebuild. As you would assume, they received their valve body and said everything was fine, there were no issues and would only refund me for the valve body and no further compensation even though they knew I was over 2,000 miles away from home racking up a hotel expense, waiting on them while they dragged their feet for 3 weeks. Customer service was terrible and not even the owner Christian Roth, would respond to an email or phone call.

Ordered a new loadmaster transmission from these guys over 2 months ago it took almost 3 weeks to get. When I finally did get the transmission it had a bad valve body. And for the last month my mechanic has been battling them to get the warranty to replace it. Last week they finally approved the shipment of the new valve body. Fast forward to this week, the Monday before the 4th and only the gasket showed up from them no Valve body. So now we are once again scrambling to find a truck to tow our boat. I was warned before buying from them that their warranty process was trash and I guess I should have headed that warning. But never would I have guessed it be this bad. I’ll never buy another product from this company again nor will I recommended them to anyone.
